The people behind the curriculum
Assthree is a small team. Courses are written and reviewed by practitioners who have spent time working directly with time-series data, classification models, and market signal analysis - not by generalists summarising textbooks.

Anke Vermeulen
Data Science Educator
Thabo Nkosi leads the design of core ML modules, with a background in applied statistics and several years spent building classification pipelines for financial datasets. His focus is on making model evaluation legible - not just showing that a model performs, but explaining why it behaves the way it does under different conditions.
Anke Vermeulen develops the interactive quiz and assignment components. She works closely with learner performance data to identify where explanations need more depth and where the pacing moves too quickly for most participants to consolidate what they've learned.
What the platform actually does differently
Passive video lectures and static readings have a poor track record for technical subjects. Assthree builds learning around active retrieval - quizzes, scenario problems, and graded assignments that require applying concepts rather than recognising them.
Immediate, specific feedback
When a quiz answer is wrong, the system explains exactly which concept was misapplied and links to the relevant module section. Learners don't have to guess what they missed.
Gamified progress without inflated scores
Points and completion badges are tied to demonstrated understanding, not to time spent on a page. A module is only marked complete when the associated assessment reaches the required threshold.
Assignments with documented datasets
Every practical assignment references a specific dataset with a clear source. Participants can reproduce results outside the platform using standard Python tooling - the work is portable from day one.
